Rumors have surfaced of an LG superphone named the “Eclipse 4G LTE” with a spec sheet that sounds like every nerds wet dream. Powered by a 1.5Ghz quad core Snapdragon S4 processor , the phone will be paired with an Adreno 320 GPU. 2GB of RAM will be included in the handset.
The camera is said to be a 13MP unit. 16GB of storage is present in the handset which also comes with a separate radio capable of Voice over LTE. The separate VoLTE radio is due to the fact that S4 chips with integrated radios will not be available before 2013. Having a separate chip which can handle LTE voice calls and SMS functions without interacting with the processor enables LG to ship phones with the S4 chip. The phone is expected to hit retail in Q4 this year.
